Both in Turkey and Greece, winters may be cold and summers hot. On the other hand, you will most probably be visiting archaeological sites with more or less walking difficulties. Hence an adapted outfit is recommended :
Do not forget !
Visiting archaeological site may require good physical conditions and access to people with reduced mobility is not always possible. During visits and stops, the buses will be locked and under the supervision of the driver. Hence, if you wish, you can leave some personal belongings in the bus yet at your own responsibility. If not done at subscription, inform your tour guide as soon as you get on the coach about your specific food requirements so that the restaurant booked for lunch can be informed accordingly in due time.
Day 1 - MondayProgram dates in 2015 : 20-27 April, 27 April-4 May, 4-11 May, 28 September-5 October and 5-12 October 2015
Mandarin's rural setting close to the ancient Lycian Way makes it the perfect base for keen walkers. For those who are happy to walk by themselves, we are always pleased to offer suggestions and advice, but for those who prefer walking in like-minded company with expert local guidance, our dedicated Walking Weeks in spring and autumn are ideal. Run in small groups of no more than 8 people, these weeks will not only enable you to discover some of the most beautiful local scenery, but also to learn more about rural life in Turkey and to visit some of the lesser known archaeological sites.
For just €120 per person on top of the cost of your stay, the week includes five daily walks with our guide, a light snack or picnic lunch, and transportation on those days whe-re we explore further afield. A reasonable level of fitness and sturdy walking boots are required but the routes are designed to allow you to enjoy the countryside at a fairly leisurely pace and not to test your endurance.
Upon arrival at the Mandarin Boutique Hotel, settle in your room and enjoy the afternoon.
Informal welcome dinner to get to know your hosts and fellow travellers.
